I ended up in the wrong room for one of my undergrad discussion groups, and I walked right into a grad student talking about her transition from undergrad to grad and how her program was, etc.
It was a full blown presentation and it was being recorded. I felt bad for disturbing it by walking in and I didn't want to cause another disruption by leaving, so I decided to stay.
Long story short, her program was something that wasn't even on my radar but something about hearing her talk about it made me want to apply. I applied, got in, and now I absolutely love it.
I can't imagine my career going in a different direction, but I wouldn't be here if I didn't accidentally walk into that presentation.
I guess everything really does happen for a reason ๐
For sure!
