Burnout is a state of physical and psychological exhaustion that can be caused by many factors, including feeling overwhelmed by tasks and demands from work and school, or social factors. If you are experiencing burnout, you may also be feeling constantly exhausted, unmotivated, unable to focus, and you may be overlooking your health.
Burnout is a dynamic state that requires a multifaceted solution. If you think that you might be experiencing burnout there are strategies that you can adopt to help, but it is important to choose strategies that will address the factors that led to you feeling burned-out and your symptoms.
The first thing that I do when I feel burned-out is take a step back and try to pinpoint the factor(s) that are causing me to feel burned-out. Journaling makes this easier for me because it makes it easier for me to recount my experiences. Then, I implement strategies to mitigate these factors and address my symptoms.
